We explore the Effects on Children. "Trigger Warning" as this session raises a host of concerns, 'triggers', we talk about what the woman needs to help her children.
It is critical to understand that 'we do the best we can under the circumstances we are dealing with, at the time we are in those circumstances'. We can move forward. Please 'Be Kind to Yourself'.

Who are these programs for?
Define Yourself!
Program
Define Yourself! is for anyone 18+ who has experienced DVA and/or Trauma so they can find themselves.
BeyondTrauma Recovery
Program
The BeyondTrauma Recovery Programme is for everyone who has encountered any type of trauma from being in, or witnessing, an accident to experiencing the loss of a loved one and feeling lost and overwhelmed in the process. It MUST be followed from Session 1 to Session 7.
It looks at the clusters we use to manage our emotions and provides coping skills to manage feelings of panic, anxiety and alarm. There are exercises for you to do at the end of each session. I encourage you to do them in your time.
The aim is for you to know you're not going crazy. Your body is trying to tell you what's happening. You're going to learn how to listen to your body and identify what is happening.
Change Your Narrative
Program
This course is for anyone who has experienced domestic violence and abuse, wants to break the cycle of abuse and wants to learn how to make their children’s lives better.
For Muslims, I open up Pandoras box by looking at ‘Sabr and Dhulm’ (Patience and Injustice) and ‘Sharm and Izzat’ (Shame and Honour) in the context of Islam. I’ve focussed on Muslim women but this course will address the needs of all women and young people.
The aim is to change the thinking from ‘no one understands’ to “no one needs to understand, because I do and I’m important, I matter”.
Freedom

The Freedom Program (FP)is for women who have experienced DVA. Created for women who want to move forward with their lives. Women get to share their experiences and learn from others. They find out they aren't alone.
The FP assists you in making decisions through validation and confirmation of your experiences.
The FP does NOT give advice or offer counselling. We offer support throughout the program as we understand the distressing nature of the process.
